Manager-Traded Accounts
One discipline delivered three ways to provide a more consistent, repeatable experience.
- This type of account is actively traded by Tandem.
- The manager-traded account structure allows us to accept most types of assets, not just cash, to incept a portfolio.
- Regardless of how the account is funded, it is our practice in a manager-traded account to transition into a Tandem portfolio over time, rather than becoming fully invested at inception. In addition, we can transition deposits and try to manage cash flows in or out of the portfolio in a more thoughtful, deliberate way.
Model-Provided Accounts
One discipline delivered three ways to provide a more consistent, repeatable experience.
This type of account is not actively traded by Tandem.
Accounts must be fully invested at inception and no customization at the portfolio level is possible.

“The ancient Greek poet Archilochus wrote, ‘the fox knows many things, but the hedgehog knows one big thing.’ Tandem is a hedgehog. Our one big thing is to be the best in the world at providing market-like or better returns over a complete market cycle with a less volatile, more consistent experience for investors.”
